​Welcome to Women of the World! We are delighted that you are interested in becoming a part of our community. To maintain a strong, respectful and productive association, we ask that all members carefully review and agree to the following rules before applying for membership.

1. Eligibility for Membership

Individual Eligibility: Membership is open to individuals who meet the following criteria:

  • Are at least 18 years of age.

  • Are committed to the goals and values of the association.

  • Can provide proof of identity and address.

2. Application Process

  • All potential members must complete an official membership application form.

  • All applicants must submit a Valid ID (for individual members).

3. Membership Dues

Members are required to pay an annual membership fee. The fee structure is outlined below:

  • Original Member : 0 for first year

  • New Member: 50 CHF per year.

           ​Payment is due at the time of application and is non-refundable.

​​​

4. Code of Conduct

  • All members are expected to act with respect, integrity, and professionalism towards other members, staff, and the wider community.

  • Discrimination, harassment, or any form of unethical behavior will not be tolerated.

  • Members are expected to contribute positively to the association's events, projects, and activities.

5. Rights and Responsibilities

  • Rights:

    • Voting rights at annual general meetings (AGMs), if applicable.

    • Participation in association events, programs, and initiatives.

    • Access to all resources and publications provided by the association.

  • Responsibilities:

    • Active participation in association activities.

    • Upholding the association’s values and objectives.

    • Paying membership dues in a timely manner.

6. Membership Term

  • Membership is valid for one year, starting from the date of approval.

  • Members will be notified in advance of the renewal period.

7. Membership Termination

  • Membership can be terminated voluntarily at any time by notifying the association in writing.

  • The association reserves the right to terminate membership if a member fails to comply with the rules, engages in unethical behavior, or disrupts association activities.

  • Any unpaid membership dues for over 3 months may result in suspension or termination of membership.

8. Confidentiality

  • All members agree to keep sensitive information related to the association, its activities, and other members confidential, unless explicitly authorized for public sharing.

  • This rule remains in effect even after membership termination.

9. Amendment of Rules

​Members will be informed of any changes and updates of the rules, and they will be given the opportunity to review and accept any revised rules before renewal.

10. Liability

Members participate in association activities at their own risk. The association is not liable for any personal injury, loss, or damage incurred during participation unless caused by the association’s negligence.
